Peterstone Lakes is a stunning 18 hole golf course set in acres of peaceful Welsh countryside, just outside Cardiff. The course was designed by Bob Sandow and is a par 72. It is a fair but challenging flat course with plenty of water hazards en route.
Team GG was invited to join the Samlet golf society on a fabulous sunny Sunday at PeterStone Lakes Golf Club, been a few years since we last played there. The warm welcome we received from the staff was very nice to say the least. 38 golfers arrived early for nice food and beverages before teeing it up from 10am.
The course was in great condition and very happy to be working with such a class venue, each hole has appeal and several holes very scenic to say the least. The samlet society have been using the golf club for over 10 years which say it all. Speaking to many of them throughout the day, they all said much the same about “Value for money and consistently good all year round”
Load of risk and reward holes and many that will catch you out if club selection isn’t chosen, the society play medal and stableford and offered prizes for each hole making the day more exciting and each shot meaning something. Would recommend this venue to small and large groups and they can cater for over 100 plus guests due to the size of dinning facilities and layout of course.
The front nine is certainly easier than the back nine as lots of the holes have water that bring into play if your slightly off line with tee shot, also shot position is critical on around 6 of the holes (very challenging, but fun). Looking forward to a quick return and will showcase this venue to all. Thanks so much to both Samlets and all the team at Peterstone Lakes. 10/10
